New Stadiums in Dream League Soccer: What do we know so far?
The stadium is not just where you play your matches; it's your team's fortress and the symbol of your progress. Over recent updates, the Dream League Soccer community has been begging for a major overhaul in the sports venues department.
Recently at DLS Inside, we conducted a technical analysis of Dream League Soccer's structure and assets, discovering something quite interesting: packages and folders dedicated to stadiums with codenames we hadn't seen in the public in-game interface until now.
The discovery: Animal-themed codenames
While reviewing the organization of game assets, we uncovered a series of folders that FTG uses to classify stadium components. What stands out most is that developers used animal names in English to identify them internally.
Among the files found are:
Stad_AardvarkStad_BelugaStad_CapybaraStad_DuckStad_EchidnaStad_Firecrest
Each of these packages has its own independent file. Upon analyzing their contents, we found they consist of modular construction pieces, such as stadium sides, corners, and ends (side, corner, end, etc.), alongside various environmental textures.
Does this mean new stadiums are coming?
The curious thing about these files is that they are entirely separate from the "unique stadiums" and the templates currently available in the game. Furthermore, we haven't found any new paid stadium images associated with them.
However, we must be very careful with expectations: for now, this DOES NOT confirm the imminent arrival of new stadiums.
Everything points to these being internal names used by First Touch Games to organize their different models, templates, or modular systems with which current DLS stadiums are built and rendered. In other words, it's how the game's code puts together the stand "puzzle" when you upgrade your facilities.
What does the future hold?
The big question lingering in the air is whether these folders (like the mysterious Stad_Capybara or Stad_Beluga) simply correspond to how FTG names the roofs and stands we already know, or if they represent base content and textures that haven't been used yet, waiting to be activated in a future major update like DLS 27.
At DLS Inside, we will continue to analyze the behavior of these files after each update to try to figure out what each one represents.
And you, what do you think they are? New customization options on the way or simple internal developer code?
