DLS 27: All New, Returning, and Removed Teams

With the end of the European football seasons, real-life promotions and relegations dictate the fate of clubs inside Dream League Soccer. The arrival of the major DLS 27 update will bring a major overhaul to the game's lower divisions, saying goodbye to historic clubs and welcoming new faces.

At DLS Inside, we have compiled the full list of confirmed club movements for the upcoming release.

The Special Rule for England
English teams in DLS 27

Before diving into the list, it's vital to understand how English football works within DLS. Unlike other countries, the game holds licenses for both the first and second divisions of England.

This means that even though teams like West Ham, Burnley, and Wolverhampton were relegated in real life, they will still appear in DLS 27, simply moving down to the game's second division. Those that will be completely removed are the ones that dropped into the English third division, as that tier does not exist in First Touch Games' database.

Official List of Movements by League

Below is the complete overview of teams arriving for the first time, those returning from past versions, and those saying goodbye after failing to secure stay:

  • England: The newcomers for this season are Bolton and Lincoln, joined by the long-awaited return of Cardiff. On the other hand, the removed teams (falling to the third division) are Oxford, Leicester, and Sheffield W.
  • Spain: The Spanish league refreshes its ranks with three brand-new teams: Santander, Málaga, and D. A. Coruña. Unfortunately, those removed from the database will be Oviedo, Mallorca, and Girona.
  • France: Fresh blood arrives with the addition of Le Mans and the return of Troyes. Leaving the game following their relegation are Nantes and Metz.
  • Italy: Italian football features no new teams, but celebrates the return of three old acquaintances: Venezia, Frosinone, and Monza. The clubs left out are Cremonese, Verona, and Pisa.
  • Netherlands: Bidding farewell to the game are H. Almelo, Breda, and Volendam, making way for the returns of Den Haag, Cambuur, and Willem.
  • Portugal: The Portuguese league welcomes new team Viseu and sees the return of M. Funchal. In contrast, the removed teams are Tondela and Aves.
  • Scotland: A direct swap; Livingston is removed and S. Johnstone returns in its place.
What will happen to players from removed teams?

If you have players from Girona, Leicester, or Mallorca in your squad, don't panic. As with exclusive players, if you bought them before the update to DLS 27, they will remain in your club forever, but they will disappear from the transfer market for all other managers.
